Burnish Heads
AheadTek supplies a variety of burnishing head products, but it is the company's WaffleTM head that has made it possible for media manufacturers to produce higher performance disks. In July, 1989, the company was assigned United States Patent number 4845816 for the WaffleTM head, which granted exclusive rights to manufacture and market this exceptional product.

Glide Heads
AheadTek's glide heads are suitable for all types of rigid media, regardless of size or type. In addition to superior quality, AheadTek offers customers a range of options in product parameters and can utilize available technologies such as single-layer piezo electric crystal, cantilevered bimorph crystal and acoustic emission.

Specialty Data Heads
Because of AheadTek's vertical integration, the company manufactures its' own cores and sliders, including those that require the latest state-of- the-art metal-in-gap (MIG) technology. This allows AheadTek to custom design data heads for media certification, clock writing, and servo writing.
